Mission Statement

To develop a desire for wisdom and courage more than the desire for fame, money, and success.

Purpose

The purpose of this institute is to help clients build a strong foundation for life based upon wisdom and defined acts of courage.   The intended result of this purpose is for clients to possess clear minds, good hearts, and non-chaotic lives.

Steps to Acquiring Wisdom and Courage

At the Institute of Wisdom and Courage, we help clients to do the following:

1.   Identify and Analyze Beliefs
What are your beliefs and how were they formed?
Which beliefs have led you to unhappiness?
Which ones do you want to change?

2.   Find Your Own Wisdom Literature
Choose and commit to reading one type of wisdom literature.
Your wisdom literature is one source of finding new beliefs, wisdom,
      and acts of courage.

3.   Be Grateful for Your Suffering
Although this is hard to do, being grateful for suffering opens the door to
the truth and to very valuable life lessons. Create a life that is worthy of
      your suffering.

4.   Read Biographies/Autobiographies
Read books of people who overcame very difficult circumstances without
being filled with anger and hate.   This is another source of finding new
beliefs, wisdom, and acts of courage.   If possible, thank these people for
what they have taught you and, thus, create a life that is worthy of other
      peoples’ suffering.

5.   Share Your Lessons
Share with others the lessons you have learned by gaining wisdom and
      doing acts of courage.
